Greatest part about this, you can do it when you sleep! No real need to study the energy body in great depth, just experience it. The basic Chakra system is legit, but just focus on three of them for now, and maybe the energy centers (Dan-Tien). First, start breathing in the top of your head and the bottom of your body (perineum) at the same time, and let the exhales move out of your navel to the spherical energetic shell that surrounds your body. In top and bottom, out the middle. This is surprisingly natural even for the beginner. You can do it as you're reading this. Then, as you lie down to go to sleep, focus real hard on your base chakra, near or at the perineum. Focus softly here and allow the energy you're breathing to cause a deep tingling and pulsing sensation. Warmth is also common. This is all the further you need to go before going to bed. If you're feeling daring, however, feel this pulsing energy reach a critical mass eventually, and fill in a energy center around the front of your pelvis. If you are skinny this is going to be partly out of the body. Once that energy center or Dan-Tien fills up, the overflow goes to the second Dan-Tien in the front of your rib cage. (note that the skeleton is three cages on a stick, pelvis, ribs, and skull, these are symbolic of the Dan-Tien energy reservoirs.) When this happens you'll begin to feel the exaggerated heartbeat sensations in the heart chakra. This is a great sign, let it go crazy. Finally, if you're still awake, feel the overflow from the second Dan-Tien jump up to the face/skull area. This often has some sensations in the nose. Little biting or tingling sensations. Let them be. This Dan-Tien will fuel the third eye and often is accompanied by third eye tingling sensations. The energy will glow from these three energy centers, igniting the corresponding chakras. Let this glow as you fall asleep. You're doing great, and feel free to do these exercises any time of the day. They do not make you sleepy, and can make your physical body buzz with energy. But let it happen as you're falling asleep. Sometimes let your energy body breathe you for a change. When your energy body gets strong, you’ll really learn the rest on your own if you keep the right intention. If you are practicing this awake and at home, learn to get
your mind into a breathing or mantric "trance." The trance sensation
is actually a slowing of the brainwaves and is important for the slip of
consciousness into the astral realm. |
